Through Helena First Leadership Institute, Northwest University comes to you. HFLI students may earn free college credits toward AA and BA degrees while serving as a church intern. Here are some other benefits:
  • All courses have the highest level of accreditation, (regional accreditation).
    • Degrees and courses transfer to other regionally accredited institutions
    • Transfer credits taken from other institutions
    • All tuition costs and program fee are eligible for federal financial aid (loans and grants)
    • No asterisks on NPP Diplomas (NPP degrees and NU Traditional Degrees are identical)
  • Flex Students (adult learners) with college experience but no degree are welcome.
  • Low Cost: $320 per credit.
The costs shown are for both fall and spring semesters combined, for a full-time student taking 12 credits each semester. Housing, textbooks and miscellaneous expenses are not included.

*Students can earn 3 credits per semester for the internship work – for FREE! This experience allow the student to work with pastors and staff at Helena First.
Courses are online, utilizing 7-week versions of NU courses, ensuring that the academic experience is equivalent to that available at the Kirkland campus. Full-time students enroll for 12 credits (four 3-credit courses) by taking two courses during the first 7-week session and two during the second 7-week session.

2. Once the HFLI Team receives your application, there will be an in-person or phone interview.
3. If accepted, you will receive an email from the HFLI Team with instructions and a link to apply to Northwest University.
4. Apply to Northwest University, begin the process of applying for financial aid, order all past high school and college transcripts to be sent to Northwest University.
